This is a sample from a 3 book series that I had managed at Pearson Prentice Hall. These textbooks were created within FrameMaker using and XML content/shell model workflow. I was also manager for the customization for this project.
There were 7 state specific customized versions of this series. The custom information is what you see as layered black text. A 5 th plate process was developed to accommodate the custom state standards.
Technical problem-solving was key in this prject due to the fact that some content was re-purposed simultaneously throughout each of the 3 books.
